Caring for custom printed clothing

In this short blog I want to give some helpful advice on keeping your custom printed clothing in tip-top condition.

We print customised garments in full colour, cyan, magenta, yellow and black, plus a special white ink coating and adhesive layer. When cared for properly this process can be extremely durable. It should maintain its colour and importantly it’s flexibility.

If you follow some simple rules your custom printed clothing will last longer.

Firstly, only wash your clothing as necessary. Wash printed clothing at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees C. We even recommend washing your clothes on a cold wash, but never wash warmer than 30 degrees. Washing cold also saves you the pennies.

Always wash printed clothing inside out, this will stop the print face rubbing against other garments and the washing machine drum. Try and sort by colour and use a good quality detergent.

Never; repeat never use bleach and never put clothes in the tumble dryer this will damage the custom print. Always drip dry your printed clothing. If you need to iron, again turn the garment inside out, keep the iron on a cool setting and keep clear of the printed area. A hot iron will melt the print and spoil your clothing.

Follow these simple tips and you should have smart looking custom printed clothing.
